To be able to use the Cushy Silicone Breast Pump Flanges with Spectra pumps, you will need the Idaho Jones Spectra Flange Adapter Widemouth Base Connector. 

How do these compare to Pumpin Pals?

Cushy Silicone Breast Pump Flanges differ in shape and material. While Pumpin Pals have a tapered design and mix of silicone and plastic material for different sizes, Idaho Jones offers a traditional shape with all sizes in silicone, providing a more natural and comfortable suckling action, especially beneficial for elastic nipples.

How often does the flange need to be replaced?

Replacement timelines depend on how often you pump. Generally, we recommend replacing the flanges every 6 months, or sooner if you notice any signs of wear, tear, or damage.

• Before First Use: Wash with warm soapy water and then boil for 3 minutes.
• After Each Use: Rinse, wash, and air-dry parts. Do not put in the dishwasher.
• Sanitizing: Use UV or cold water sterilization. Avoid boiling after the first use.

• Check Fit: Ensure correct nipple and flange sizing for optimal comfort and effectiveness.
• Monitor Condition: Replace flange if there are signs of wear, tear, or deformation.
• Avoid Over-tightening: Do not over-tighten when attaching to pumps, as this may cause damage or affect suction.
• Caution with Heavy Bottles: Be mindful when setting down the flanges attached to full and heavy bottles as they may tip over when empty.
